CAREER.NEXT is a career advancement initiative of Career Forte offered in
partnership with our universities and other tertiary institutions. It
features some 40+ people skills workshops available from our stable that
can be offered to students on an interdisciplinary basis as electives
integrated into the school curriculum.
CAREER.NEXT represents a unique attempt and filling skills gaps that has
become alarmingly noticeable amongst Nigerian graduates- a deficiency
based on the over emphasis on academics.
It is our belief that in partnering with our educational institutions we
can cure this deficiency thus making our graduates employable both locally
and internationally.
OBJECTIVES
- To fortify students during studentship and upon graduation with
life-career skills to make them most employable both locally and globally.
- To build students from partner institutions into the most competitive
and employer friendly graduates with recognisably developed and certified
career skills in addition to their academic laurel.
- To empower graduates of partner institutions who avail themselves of
the CAREER.NEXT programme, with the necessary skills and confidence that
will propel beyond academic performance in the job place and the wider
society.
- To provide and foster a town and gown value enhancing network for
partner institutions.
- To provide an interdisciplinary forum for all same level students to
focus on shared experiences, skills for life-long education.
- To enhance their awareness of and embrace of beyond-academic
specialisations i.e. multi-level knowledge and skills as the footpath
towards life-long success both in the academia and especially the outside
world.
- To embolden students to undertake adventures in skills explorations.
- To inculcate in students the habit of grafting skills learning unto
academic knowledge as a way of developing robust, well rounded
professional practice.
